Joyce "Gladys" Dryden, 102, of Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio's Perrysburg Inpatient Unit. Joyce was born in Stueben County, Indiana on October 1, 1905 to Ray and Maude (Null) Meek. She was the widow of John Dryden who preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Dryden was employed as a bookkeeper for the A&P Food Markets for 25 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of First St. Mark's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the senior group, senior choir and a longtime member of the Sunday school class.
Surviving are her daughters, Jean Rost of Cedar Crest, New Mexico and Mary Jo (David) Dressell Sr., Whitehouse, and 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grand-children and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jack; brothers, Raymond and Thomas Meek; grandsons, Stephen and Gregory Rost.
Friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home where visitation will be Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in First St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1121 Grasser Street, on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Joyce's memory may be made to either First St. Mark's or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank her niece, Judy for all her loving care.
