Joyce E. Jacobs, 84, of Toledo , Ohio , passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo . Joyce was born in Oregon , Ohio on December 8, 1930 to Fred and Lola ( Tyler ) Groll. Joyce married Joseph Jacobs on August 28, 1948. Genealogy research was her greatest passion. She was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Joyce was also a volunteer at Riverside Hospital and was active in Girl Scouts. Joyce is survived by her children, Darah (Jack) Rogers, Jana (Leslie) Zervos and J. Chris (Janet) Jacobs; grandchildren, Jerid (Nicole) Collins, H. Eric (Lori) Bolyard, Joshua ( Erin ) Collins, Toneé (Jason Dick) Jacobs and Joey (Lindsey) Jacobs; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Loretta Bowman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jacobs; seven brothers and one sister. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 31, 2015 at 9:30 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery . Memorial contributions can be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
