Joyce E. Hoops, 53, of Tontogany, OH passed away suddenly on November 5, 2003 in Huron, Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 14, 1950 to George and Priscilla (Rakos) Taylor. Joyce was employed by the Federal Grain Inspection Service as a grain inspector for 12 years. She was a life-long member of Calvin United Church of Christ where she was a member of the church choir. Joyce was an avid bowler and fan of the Miami Dolphin's football team. Surviving are her husband, Gale E. Hoops; children, Marie Baker, Todd Draper and Allen Hoops; parents and brother, Jeffrey Taylor; step-daughters, Lisa and Joyce; grandchildren, Dylan, Hallie and David; step-grandchildren, Timmy, Matthew, Brandon, Aaron and Crystal. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH on Sunday, November 9, 2003 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Calvin United Church of Christ where the family receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
