Joyce P. Kipker, 93, of Brooklyn, Michigan, formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 11, 1932 to Harry and Gertrude (Paselk) Wilkinson. Joyce graduated from Waite High School and shortly after married the love of her life, Walter E. "Ed" Kipker who preceded her in death. Joyce was a selfless woman who loved volunteering, whether it was with the mobile meals, Aware Program, Mothers Club or for the last 20 years, the Brooklyn Food Pantry. She was also a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, Michigan. Joyce was an avid bowler in her younger years, but where you most likely would find her was tending to her flower garden where she was always hands on.
Joyce is survived by her son, Rick Kipker; daughters, Kathie (Michael) Mulholland, Karen (Gary) Carter; grandchildren, Jonathon, Daniel (Kim), Jacob, Carlee, Hannah; great grandchildren, Evelyn Rose, Keith, Kylie, Tom, Gage, Henry and Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; brothers, Gerald and Gordon; and daughter-in-law, Lauren.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Friday, February 7, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
