Joyce E. Shelley, 93, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Landings of Oregon with her loving family by her side. She was born in Norwalk, Ohio on January 15, 1931 to Nathan and Valetti (Brunner) O'Dell. She was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ for many years where she was very involved in the church's various events and activities. On October 9, 1948 she married the love of her life, Robert A. "Buzz" Shelley Sr. Joyce worked as a secretary for National Management Association and Christ United Church of Christ and as a sales associate at Loretta Joyce. She was also a member of the GAF Swiss Ladies. Joyce enjoyed gardening, crocheting, needle work and reading. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband creating many memories along the way, but what she cherished most was her loving family.

Joyce is survived by her children, Michael (Diane) Shelley, Valeeta (Keith) Fager, Maureen King, Carolyn (Jim) Beckman; grandchildren, Brian, Brooke (Mark), Tom (Catherine), Shelley (Andy), Alissa (Zach), Meredith (Pete), Kyle (Torie), Joshua (Lauren), Alex (Kaylie), Nathan (Katie); 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kathy Shelley; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert "Buzz"; son, Bob Shelley and sisters, Rachel Barman and Shirley Steckling.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH, 43616 on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Joyce's name may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
