Joyce E. Villhauer, 88, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 5, 1929 to Donald and LuLu (Bray) Myers. On July 12, 1947, she married the love of her life Kenneth Villhauer. Joyce worked as a colorist with State Aerial for 25 years. She was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church and Toledo United Swiss. For 13 years, Joyce volunteered with Mobile Meals and the German American Festival. Joyce enjoyed wintering in Treasure Island Florida, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and dancing with Ken at the Elks Club.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ken; children, Jim (Loretta) Villhauer, Sue (Dave) Kimmet, and Shelley (Tom) Garrett; grandchildren, Jodi ( Todd) Bostater, Jessica (Jamie) Bostater, Melissa (Jerry) Spatny, Dan Miller, Matthew (Jennifer) Garrett, and Lynn (Joe) Brosious; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack and Donald Myers.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service at 3:00 pm.
