Juan M. Garcia, 33, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2004. Johnny was born in Toledo on June 23, 1970, to Estevan Tellez and Lucy Garcia. Johnny was employed at the Calphalon Company and also was a professional wrestler, known as "Chief". Johnny was a member of Cedar Creek Church. He was a loving father and husband who enjoyed grilling out and watching NASCAR.
Surviving are his wife, Heather; daughters, Sierra, Sabrina, Serina; parents; brothers, Robert (Candy), Dominic (Elizabeth), Eddie, Mark (Rachel), Frank "Ponch" Foust, all of Toledo, Joey Tellez, and sister, Alise Tellez, of Mt. Blanchard, OH, Theresa (Darryl) Hernandez-Smith of Toledo; grandparents, Erlinda and Ismeal DeLaRosa of Fostoria and Joanne Garcia; mother-in-law, Barb Cowell, and father-in-law, Norman (Oake) Cowell. He was preceded in death by parents, Juan Garcia and Nellie Castillon; sisters, Mona Garcia DeLuna, Yolanda Garcia; nephew, Isreal "Mello" Garcia; grandfather, Jose Tellez of Texas; great grand-mother, Betty Martinez of Findlay.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH, on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Cedar Creek Church, 29129 Lime City Rd. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Garcia family.
