Juanita M. Troknya, 91, of Elmore, Ohio, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at the Genoa Retirement Village. Juanita was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on March 24, 1923, the only child of Harry and Estella (Leasure) Vore. On February 1, 1941, she married John Troknya and enjoyed 60 year of marriage until his passing February 8, 2001. Juanita and John raised their family in Williston, Ohio, where she was a Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, and enjoyed attending her daughters school activities. Her hobbies included: crocheting, knitting, and tending to her home and yard. Juanita cherished the time she spent wintering in Florida with her husband, John.
Juanita is survived by her daughters, Joyce Miller, Connie (John) Drummond, and Deanna (Gary) Price; grandchildren, Michael Miller, Melissa Miller, Matthew (Jenine) MacDonald, Jason MacDonald, and Lisa (Adam) Vogel; and great grandchildren, James, Blair, Marina, Grant, and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10:30 am until time of funeral service at 12:30 pm.
