Judith A. Johnson, 86, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. She was born in Woodville, Ohio on April 3, 1940 to Robert and Bernita (Sebring) Stotz Sr. Judy graduated from the historic Olney High School and went on to work as an AV Director in the education system for Genoa Area High School before obtaining her license to become an Electrologist. She married the love of her life, Edgar "Eddie" Johnson on February 14, 1959 and together they shared a wonderful life before his passing. She enjoyed going to garage sales, always looking forward to those warmer months where she could search for treasures. Judy adored her Schnauzers, Tiger and Pepper, loved cooking, baking and sewing. When her children were younger they remembered their mom sewing their clothes even until today fixing the rips and tears. Judy and her husband enjoyed going to blue grass festivals with family and friends and once her husband retired they took a memorable road trip to Alaska. She was an avid doll maker, enjoyed putting puzzles together as well as quilting and playing BINGO, but what she cherished most was her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Cathy) Johnson, daughter, Karlene (Scott) Mabus; grandchildren, Hannah (Joshua) Kiser, Joshua, Andrew and Alex Mabus; great-grandchildren, Eve and Levi Kiser, Olivia, Austin, and Lucas Mabus; and sister Debra Foreman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar "Eddie" Johnson; son, Mark Johnson, grandchildren, Jonathan and Noah Mabus; brother, Robert (Betty) Stotz Jr.; sister, Betty Lou (James) Ratliff; and brother-in-law, Bob Foreman.
