Judith Geisel Steedman, age 74, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Bay Park Hospital. Judy was born on November 26, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Ray and Maribelle (Nixon) Geisel. She was the Homecoming Queen at Waite High School where she graduated in 1954. Judy was a graduate of Mercy College with a degree in radiation therapy. She worked at Mercy Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 1997. Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being a part of her grandkids activities and loved going to their sporting events, recitals, cheerleading competitions, musicals, band and choir concerts. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Arnold 'œArnie'; children, Nan(Mike) Johnson, Tom (Kristine) Steedman, Tim (Julie) Steedman, Joe (Karen) Steedman; grandchildren, Tyler (Grace) Steedman, Michael Johnson, Josh Steedman, Tess Steedman, Abbey Steedman, D.J. Baumann, Jacob and Timothy Hall; sister, Mary (Norm) Lepper; niece, Lisa Purdy O'™Brien; special nephews, Ross and Matthew O'™Brien. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janis Steedman; step-mother, Lois Geisel (Jerry) Spears; sister, Sharon (Jim) Zieroff.
