Judy Ann LaPlante, 76 of Lake Township, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 22, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Judy was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 10, 1946 to Louis R. and Lila (Broderick) Bronkowski. She was a graduate of Woodward High School. Judy had been a school bus driver for Wood County, and then went to work for the U.S Postal Service where she was a window clerk and worked in the coding department. She was a member of Epiphany of the Lord St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, American Turners, and Citrus Park Women's Softball League (President) and Mardi Gras Parade Queen in Bonita Springs, Florida where they have been enjoying their winters for the past 20 years.
She met the love of her life on a blind date for her Senior Prom and started dating in 1963. They were married on January 16, 1965 at St. Francis DeSales in Toledo. She is survived by her loving husband, John; Children, Susan TenEyck (Scott), Debbie Arbogast, Thomas LaPlante (Danielle), Matthew LaPlante (Heidi Lochnane); Grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany Oldham (Daniel), Alexis Cline (Cody), Samantha DiPaolo (Josiah), Mackenzie, Alex, Jason, James, Gracyn, Alyssabeth, Evan, Gabe, Trevor, Tyler, Alex, and Aaron; and Great-Grandchildren Jonathan, Lila, Kinsley, Emmitt, Caden, Arazio; Mother, Lila Bronkowski; Siblings, Lou Bronko, Janet Lee (Ed), Jean Carsten (Ron).
She was preceded in death by her father; Louis R Bronkowski; son John Joseph LaPlante Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Epiphany of the Lord St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 729 White Street, Toledo, Ohio, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.
