Julia L. Christiansen, 89, formerly of Genoa, OH passed away April 20, 2005 in Genoa Care Center. She was born in Rossford, OH on December 29, 1915 to Lou and Carrie (Fliesher) Estenfelder. Julia was employed as an executive secretary at a number of different companies including the Devilbiss Company, the Lucas County Draft Board and the Lucas County Welfare Department, before her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the Woodbine Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and the Rebecka's. Surviving are her husband of 65 yrs., Paul J. Christiansen; daughter, Bonnie Dee; nephew, Edward Paul Delph, Findlay, OH; sister-in-law, Dorothy Estenfelder; cousins, Thomas Enderbury, Bowling Green, OH and Betty Jane Reinhart, Chicago, IL. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Estenfelder and Tommy, who died as a child; sister and brother-in-law, Marge and Edward Delph, who were killed in Florida. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with Eastern Star Services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Julia's memory can be made to the Genoa Care Center or the Alzheimer's Association.
