Obituary

Julie S. (Goodeman) Keith, 60, of Oregon, Ohio passed away surrounded by her family on February 20, 2023. Julie was born in Toledo, Ohio to Ervin and Frances Goodeman on December 27th, 1962. She was a 1980 graduate of Waite High School. She graduated a year early, was a member of the band, and enjoyed playing softball while in high school. Julie was a woman of many hats. Throughout her life she worked at many different places including Sights and Sounds, Carter Lumber, Gladieux Lumber, Walmart, and worked many years alongside her husband as a carpenter. She loved helping others and being around people. On May 10, 1991 Julie married Jerry Keith. They spent over 30 years together. They made an amazing team both as parents, and as a carpentry duo.

Julie was always very supportive of her kids and grandkids. In her younger years, Julie enjoyed spending all of her free time caring for and cheering on her three children. She was their greatest supporter and number one fan. She especially enjoyed attending sporting events for her kids including baseball, soccer, and basketball. She never missed a game and enjoyed traveling to support them. As she got older, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She loved cheering on her grandsons at their baseball games, watching her granddaughter play soccer, having cookouts with the family, taking the kids to the park, and spending time caring for them during the day when she was well.

Julie loved to do a lot of different things. She was always up to watch the Food Network, the Soaps, or catch the baseball game. She enjoyed going to get a new tattoo, and always received compliments on how creative and beautiful they were. She was very creative and could make many beautiful things through cross stitch, knitting, and crocheting, including making blankets for her grandkids. She enjoyed going for drives with her husband, watching nature, and supporting her mom every year in the Race for the Cure. She was as quick as a whip and would be the first to tell any experienced carpenter his measurements were off. She had a great sense of humor. She was always willing to tell you like it was, but also listen and offer advice when you needed it.

Julie is survived by her husband of over 30 years Jerry Keith, her children: Jeffrey (Erin) Feller, Jamie (Larry) Mittendorf, Justine (Emily) Howland-Feller, 7 grandchildren: Jacob, Caden, Addyson, Adilynn, Bentleigh, Maddyson (Mitty), and Benny, her two siblings: Debbie (Tony) Hornstein, Tony (Cathy) Goodeman, special niece Deidre Needs, her mother Fran Goodeman and brother-in-law, Matthew (Joyce) Keith. Julie is preceded in death by her father Ervin Goodeman, her grandparents, and many aunts and uncles, and special canine companion Teddy.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life in Julie's memory. Julie was an organ donation recipient. We were able to spend five more years with her because of a living donor transplant. In lieu of flowers please send all donations to Life Connections of Ohio 3661 Briarfield Blvd. Suite 105 Maumee, OH 43537.
