Julius M. Szabo, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on August 11, 2003 in Heartland of Oregon. He was born in in Toledo, Ohio to John and Mary (Kiss) Szabo on February 14, 1918. Julius was a WWII US Army Veteran and was employed by the Chrylser Corporation for 13 years, retiring in 1980. Julius was also involved with the family business of JoMar Construction, building many homes in the Oregon area.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Alice M. (Slates); children, Briana Falcon, Walter (Judy) Burnat, Michael (Kathie) Burnat, Edward (Sharon) Burnat; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, William and Alfred (Annie) Szabo. Julius was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Oscar.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 from 2:00 pm until time of the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. Contributions in Julius' memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
