Julius "Butch" Vargo, 65, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away October 9, 2008 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH on November 21, 1942 to Julius and Frances (Giamo) Vargo. Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been employed as a machine operator at the Chrysler Plant in Perrysburg, retiring in 2004 after 33 years of service. Butch was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan.
Surviving are his son, Julius "Butch" (Melanie) Vargo; daughter, Kelly (Jason) Roberts; mother, Frances Vargo; brothers, John (Cyndi); sisters, Janet (Daniel) Sehlmeyer, Joyce (Richard) Gainsley, Julie (Michael) Marshall, Johnette (Donald) Marshalko and Joanne (Karl) Katafiasz; grandchildren, Tyler, Heather, Jaylyn, Mayson, Chloe and Laycie; former spouse, Elaine Vargo and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. "We love you dad, you will be missed."
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. and where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Butchs memory can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
