June May Stevens Hill Barker, 66 of north Toledo, passed away New Years Day 2003 surrounded by her children. June was born in Toledo on January 21, 1936 to Andrew and Susie (Baker) Stevens. She had retired from Libbey Glass in 1998 after 25 years of service. June was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Orville Hill, sister, Betty and brother,Walter. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, darts and playing the slots, but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. June was a very generous person, known to many as "Ma Barker" to children, too many to count. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Charles "Bud" Barker; children Orville Hill, Raymond Hill, Victor T. Hill, Carletta (Gary) Mulligan, Jonathan (Sandy) Hill; about a dozen grandchildren and about a half dozen great-grandchildren; brothers Andy and Carl Stevens; sisters Susan Mitchell and Gloria Drain. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 4-8 and where her funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday.
