June D. Taylor, 85, of Oregon and formerly of Harbor Springs, MI passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007, in St. Luke's Hospital. June was born in Toledo on June 25, 1921, to Daniel and Myrtle (Heltebrake) Budd. She was the widow of both Edward Gorka and Gardiner Taylor. Mrs. Taylor had been employed as a cook and housekeeper at the Lutheran Old Folks Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Charles Hospital and the Holiday Inn in Petosky, MI. June enjoyed being involved in Church work and belonged to several clubs. On her 83rd birthday, HCR Manor Care's "Heart's Desire" program along with the Perrysburg Harley Davidson dealer provided June with a police escorted motorcycle ride thru Perrysburg.
Surviving are her daughters, Patricia (Jack) Clark, Barbara (William) Carr, Nancy (Richard) Ward and Judith Hammye; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grand-children and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands and daughter, Linda Wilson. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides from the Heartland of Perrysburg Nursing Home and Arrowhead Dialysis for their kindness, professionalism and love shown to our loved one and us, we are eternally grateful.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue. Burial of the cremated remains will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in June's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
