June E. Van Dorn, 78, of Lutheran Village at Wolfe Creek, passed away Friday, July 23, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Toledo on August 22, 1925, to Edward and Myrtle (Todd) Gallagher. Through the years, June was employed as a bookkeeper for various area businesses. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her friends at Wolfe Creek, but her special love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Van Dorn was a talented and creative person who enjoyed creating unusual gifts and crafts for her family and friends. June was married to the late Charles C. Van Dorn for 57 years before his passing in 2002. Surviving are her children, Valerie (Edward) Keen, Thomas (Doreen), William (Laurel) and Charles (Patricia) Van Dorn; 10 grandchildren, Edward and Benjamin Keen, Andrew, Thomas and Bradley Van Dorn, Angela Kolodziejczyk, Elisa Anderson, Nicole, Joshua and Brock Van Dorn; 8 great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Myrtle (Todd) Gallagher; husband, Charles C. Van Dorn; sister, Catherine Kipker; brothers, William and Louis Gallagher. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
