K. Ursula Turnow, 95, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo on April 27, 1916 to George and Laura (Foreman) Yost. Ursula was the widow of Herman Turnow, who preceded her in death in 1982. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Charles Hospital and a perpetual member of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Mrs. Turnow enjoyed traveling, painting and gardening and was active in many local community groups including Our Lady of Toledo Shrine. Surviving is her daughter, Jean Roberts; grandchildren, Rachel and Brian; great grandchildren, Cameron, Camille, Charlie and Brian. Ursula was also preceded in death by her sister, Angela Terbille and brother, Paul Yost. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm. with scripture services beginning at 7:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Good Shepherd Catholic Church where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio. Expressions of sympathy in Ursulas memory can be made to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Our Lady of Toledo Shrine, Oregon.
