Kara D. Calomeni, 22 of West Jefferson, Ohio and formerly of Lake Township passed away unexpectedly at Doctor's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Kara was born in Houston, TX on March 28, 1985 to Edward and Phyllis (Herr) Calomeni. She graduated from Lake High School, being the class valedictorian in 2003. During high school Kara was very active in band and also in the Wood County 4H. Kara went on to Ohio Northern University graduating with high honors in 2007 with degrees in Communications and Political Science. This fall she was to attend the Michigan State College of Law. While at ONU Kara was active in the Delta Zeta Sorority and was the President of Pan-Hellenic Council of ONU. Surviving are her loving parents, Ed and Phyllis of West Jefferson; grandparents, Betty J. Herr, Edward P. and Delores Calomeni; aunts and uncles, Pat and John Stone, Houston, TX, Betty and Jan Eldridge, Capac, MI, Linda and Mark Sexton, Attica, MI. Kara is also survived by a host of cousins and a large extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m and on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, 26535 Pemberville Road, (Lake Township) Perrysburg, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the services.
