Karen L. Osborne, 54, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Promedica St. Luke'™s Hospital, Maumee. Karen was born on November 20, 1957, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Hubert and Evelyn (Lay) Osborne. Karen was a 1975 graduate of Start High School. She was employed with Osterman Jewelers as a receiver and mail room operator for 13 years, retiring in 1988. Karen had a love of ceramics. Her unique ability to sculpt and glaze ceramics were enjoyed by many. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-nephew, Dylan, painting and creating unique works of art. Karen is survived by her mother, Evelyn Osborne; sister-in-law, Gail Osborne; nephew, Daniel (Kerri) Osborne; and great-nephew, Dylan Osborne. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Hubert Osborne Jr. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 2:00-9:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 17th in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
