Karen Ramirez, 69, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at The Lutheran Home in Toledo. Karen was born in Woodstock, Illinois on December 23, 1946 to Lester and Rosana (Mitnik) Vining. She worked at Kneisley Electric and Meijer for many years before retiring in 2008. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo, volunteered at the Toledo Animal Shelter and enjoyed reading mystery novels. Karen is survived by her son, Michael Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Diane Yenawine. Eggleston Meinert and Pavley Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Services will be private and inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Toledo Humane Society.
