Karen Sue Riddle, 57 of Oregon, Ohio passed away at home with her loving family at her side on Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was born in Toledo on December 19, 1960 to James and Leona (Castonguay) Riddle who both preceded her in death. Karen was a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and of Owens Community College where she received a Registered Nursing degree. She was a labor and delivery nurse at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where she had worked 28 years. All who knew Karen, knew she was the "salt of the earth" type of person. She most enjoyed spending quality time with her loving family and playing volleyball on many teams or with anyone who would play. Karen also enjoyed trips to Ft. Myers, Florida and Aruba, spending time by the ocean and on its beaches. During football season you would find her cheering for her favorite team, Dallas Cowboys!
Karen is survived by her loving wife, Jody; children Nicole Schultz, Benjamin Schultz, Kari Leigh Ramirez, Heather (Brandon) Criss, Jade Ramirez, Andrew McCrory; grandchildren Jakob, Calleigh, Jaxon, Lydia, Hayleigh, Lexi, Charlee, Benjamin, Ava, Ailey, Marissa and Quinn who is on the way! Siblings, Renee (Floris) Wood, James Riddle.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 12 noon until 3:00 pm when a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. In Karen fashion…remember to celebrate her life as Karen would want….in COLOR!!
