Katherine "Kay" Alice Hubbard Eby, 92, died peacefully and in the company of her family September 30, 2016 at Swan Creek Retirement Village. Katherine was a loving and quietly determined and supportive mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Ferguson; son, Steve (Terrie) Eby; grandchildren, Tami (Karl) Heiss, Eric (Phoebe) Royer, Heather Royer, Jno (Karen) Disch, Matt (Jen) Disch, Adrianne Eby, Kristen Eby; and 12 great grandchildren. She believed in the value of education and worked for 35 years as a science educator and school administrator. She enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elston and Bud Hubbard; husband Robert "Bob" Eby; daughter Barbara "Barb" Disch; and great grandchild, Amber Heiss. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home 440 Coy Rd, Oregon OH, from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service at to 1:00 pm.
