Kathleen M. Coughtrie, 66, of Oregon, passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2017, in the care of her loving daughter Sarah and sister Cheryl. She was born to Melvin and Joanne (Goetz) Przysiecki on June 13, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated from Rossford High School in 1968. Kathi married George Topik in 1973 and had a daughter, Kelli. Later, she married Tim Coughtrie, in 1990, and had a daughter, Sarah. She worked at Owens Corning for 43 years, making many wonderful friends before retiring in 2014.
Kathi was a positive influence in everyone's life she touched, whether they be close friends and family, those she mentored, her neighbors in need, or the homeless that she would take to lunch. She loved volunteering at the Helping Hands Food Pantry, and at Pickett School as a tutor. She always had Cheez-Its in case her "seesters and brudders" stopped by, and never turned down a chance to hit the casino. She enjoyed dinner with her 'Floozies' from work, trips to Myrtle Beach and Ft. Myers, and most of all, being a wonderful mother to Kelli and Sarah. Her sense of humor and beautiful smile never wavered.
Kathi is survived by her daughter, Sarah; sister, Cheryl (Rick) Dye; brothers Mike, Pattrick (Rita), Dennis (Gretchen Sommerfeld), Matthew (Mariann), and Jeff (Sherry) Przysiecki; sisters-in-law Mary Coughtrie and Sarah (Bill) Life; numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren; namesake aunt, Kathleen Goetz; many cousins; good friend, George Topik and his family; her two cats, Jason and Charlie; and many, many special friends. She will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, her husband Tim, her daughter Kelli Jo, and grandson Zachary.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday, January 20, 2017 from Noon until 8:00pm. Funeral mass will be Saturday at St. Jerome Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge, Ohio at 11:00am; family will greet friends beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
