Kathleen 'œKatie' 'œKathy' Dunaway, 86, of Kingston Residence of Perrysburg, formerly of Raymer Blvd. and Holly Dr. passed away at her resident Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Katie was born August 29, 1925 to the late John C. & Hazel E. (Flatz) Griner. Katie married Morris E. 'œBud' Dunaway November 23, 1941 in Angola, IN. They were married for 56 years at the time of Bud'™s death. Kathy started her career as a LPN, worked at Safeway Packaging and then was employed at St. Charles Hospital in the Lab Dept. as a supervisor, retiring after 45 yrs. She volunteered in the Lab Dept. for another 2 yrs. In her younger years, Kathy enjoyed bowling, fishing, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, traveling with her family and grandchildren and going out to eat with family and friends. She was a member of GBU and Eagles Drill Team. Surviving are her daughter; Sharon (John) Meeker; sister, Betty Allen; daughter-in-law, Karen Dunaway; sister-in-law, Hilda Dunaway; grandchildren, Joseph Markowksi, Sarah B and Zachary 'œZack' Meeker, Steven R., Ronald M. 'œD-Way' (JoLynne), Nicole 'œNikki' Dunaway; step grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Meeker; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; special niece, Thelma (Roger) Scarborough; friend, Liz Dunaway; many nieces, nephews, friends, and her many friends at St. Charles Hospital. Katie was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ronald M. Dunaway, and great granddaughter, Tieara Dunaway. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, July 15, 2012, from 1-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
