Kathleen Eversden, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away, Monday, February 20, 2006 at Hospice of NW Ohio, Perrysburg Twp. Born May 16, 1920, to Patrick and Mary Agnes (D'Alton) Leahy, she was the wife of the late Robert Eversden, who passed away in 1990. Born in Toledo, she was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Davis Business College. She formerly was a faithful long time member of the First Alliance Church of Toledo and currently a devoted member of Heritage Christian Church. Her life was defined by her Christian faith, and the Bible study which she originated in her home remains active today. Her life was marked by devotion to family and a spirit of benevolence to all. Survivng are her son, Thomas Eversden (wife Doris) of Omaha, NE, and two daughters, Mary Ellen Meeks (husband Marion) of West Windsor, NJ, and Kathi Hille (husband Paul) of Oregon, OH. She leaves 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Grace Leahy and best friends, Carol and Duane Hanely. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Joseph and Austin, and sister, Agnes Eversden. With sincere appreciation Kathleen's granddaughter Sara Popejoy and her husband, Andrew, are acknowledged for lovingly sharing their home with her for the last six years. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Heritage Christian Church, 1640 S. Coy Rod, Oregon, OH. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
