Kathleen A. Haas, 63, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away at Mercy St. Charles Hospital on June 3, 2015. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Kurt and Margaret (Donovan) Haas on April 22, 1952. Kathleen graduated from Central Catholic High School and first worked in the insurance industry. For the past 26 years she worked for Guardian Alarm as an office administrator, winning the company's Maximum Achievement Award in 2013. Work was an important part of Kathy's life and she was much loved by coworkers and customers. She enjoyed watching sports and reading Alex Cross Mysteries. Kathy was a superb listener, excellent communicator and a supportive and loyal friend. Kathy's warmth, positivity and great smile drew people to her naturally. She loved animals especially her cat Alli. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Kathleen is survived by her sister, Helen (Ewald) Gatzke; sister-in-law, Letty Haas; close friends; Elly and Steve Mertz , Patty Ward, Tammy McElheney and Valerie Meeks. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kurt Haas. In accordance with Kathleen's wishes there will be no services.
