Kathryn R. Askins, 70, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on May 31, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to her Robert and Ruth (Rittenhouse) Bensman. Kathryn worked as a meter reader/supervisor for Columbia Gas for 15 years and most recently was the head cook at Lake High School for 14 years. Her memberships included the Toledo Bowling Association and the Ohio Women's Bowling Association. Kathryn also volunteered at Lake High School and enjoyed Arts and Crafts. Surviving are her husband, Robert H. "Bob"; children, Michael, Tricia (Mike) and Robert (Dawn); grandchildren, Vincent, Jared, Jacob, Savannah and Colette; siblings, William, Michael, Richard, Steven, and Danny Bensman, Gidget, Shawn and Shirley Stansberry. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and James Bensman. Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio 43447 on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the time of her memorial service at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kathryn R. Askins Scholarship Fund at Lake High School.
