Kathryn E. Scott, 91, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. Kathryn was born in Hollister, Ohio on April 27, 1921 to Thomas and Irene (Kelly) Smith. On January 12, 1942,, she married Norman Scott. Kathryn worked for many years at Hirzel Canning in Northwood, Ohio. She was a member of Heritage Christian Church and Yondota Chapter #317 Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed ceramics and will be remembered for her secret family recipes; especially, her date nut cookies. Her true passion was spending time with her family. Kathryn is survived by her husband of 70 years, Norman; daughter, Norma Bedee; daughter-in-law, Shelly Scott; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Robert and Michael Scott; son-in-law, Ron Bedee; along with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 29th at 11:00 am in the funeral home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
