Kathryn Edna Webb, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away January 25, 2011. Born in Elmore, Ohio, on January 2, 1922, to Vincent and Nora (Frase) Buck, Kathryn graduated from Harris Elmore High School, attended Bowling Green State University and the Toledo University. She graduated from The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 and married Robert in 1944. A dedicated nurse for over thirty years, she worked at St. Charles Hospital and retired in 1984 after serving in the positions of Nursing Supervisor and Home Care Coordinator. She continued to show her passion for nursing by volunteering in the medical staff office following her retirement and working into her 80'™s. Being around Kate was always fun. She loved practical jokes, fishing, traveling, was an expert at telling jokes, and had a wonderful sense of humor that kept friends and family laughing. Her very distinctive and unique sneeze reflected her personality and was easily identifiable by everyone. Kathryn dearly loved her children, was so very proud of her grandchildren, and absolutely adored her great grandchildren. Her holidays with her Tiffin and Oak Harbor family were always fun with card playing and good food. Visits from her nieces in Milwaukee and Nebraska were highlights, too. Kate had many friends, but especially enjoyed her canoe trips and New Year'™s Eve parties with her Craig Road friends from Maumee. She was a long time member of First St. John Lutheran and the Ladies Swiss Society. Surviving Kathryn are her husband of 66 years, Robert, her children Thomas Webb, D.D.S, of Lithopolis and good friend Patty, Reverend Richard (Elaine) Webb of Tecumseh, Michigan, Susan (Mark) Padley of Martin; grandchildren, Matthew (Lori) Webb, Jennifer (Brian) Hunter, Kimberly Padley, Bethany (Aaron) Yeager, and John (Brigid) Padley; great grandchildren Dane and Isaac and Madison Webb; Evan and Sydney Hunter; Lena Kathryn Padley, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in First St. John Lutheran Church on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Elmore, Ohio. Memorials may be given to First St. John Lutheran Church of Toledo or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would also like to thank the caregivers at Orchard Villa and Hospice for their devotion and excellent care for Kathryn.
