Kelli J. Topik, 22, along with her unborn son, named Zachary Joseph Berry, passed away unexpectedly March 8, 2004. She was born in Oregon, OH on April 26, 1981. Kelli had attended St. Jerome Elementary School K-8th grade and graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1999. While at Stritch, Kelli was a member of the National Honor Society and a senior homecoming attendant. She lettered as a freshman in cross country and ran with the varsity at State Meet that year. After high school Kelli was attending UT and MCO where she would have graduated in May of 2005 with her RN and BSN degrees. Kelli was named to the Presidents Honor Roll for the past 4 semesters. She was recently employed part-time at Frickers in Maumee.
Surviving are her loving parents, Kathi Coughtrie and George Topik; little sister, Sarah Coughtrie whom Kelli considered her "dream come true"; grandparents, Joanne Przysiecki, Cecilia Topik, Betty Coughtrie; aunts and uncles, Cheryl and Rick Dye, Mike Przysiecki, Pattrick and Rita Przysiecki, Gretchen and Dennis Przysiecki, Jeff and Sherry Przysiecki, Matt and Mariann Przysiecki, Dan and Suzette Topik, Connie and Mike Barrett, Pat and Tim Taylor, Janice Moore, Sarah and Bill Life, Mary Coughtrie, also, Lisa McAfee and Elizabeth; cousins, Alex, Andy, Mike, Luke, Jake, Corrie, Dayna, Connor, Emma, Vanessa, Kevin, Derek, Nathan, Tammy, Dean,Tara, Trisha, Jeff, Sarah, Justin, Jettie, Jana, Laura and Aaron; special friends, Megan Weiher and Kacie Traver. Kelli was so fortunate to have known the love and support of Joe Berry Jr. who is Zacharys father, and Jeremy Jacquillard. Surviving Zachary are his grandparents, Kathi and George, Joe Sr. and Dianne Berry. Kelli was preceded in death by her great-grandma, Mimi, grandpa, Frank Topik and grandpa, Mel Przysiecki; uncle, Mike Moore; stepdad, Tim Coughtrie. Kelli loved her cat, Salem and the family cats, Oliver and Ally.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge, OH for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Kellis memory can be made to St. Jerome School or Cardinal Stritch High School. Kellis family suggests also in her memory please do a random act of kindness. Kelli will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
