Kenneth O. Duty, 79, of Oregon passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Ken was born in Pikeville, KY, on April 7, 1934 to Delvey and Noma (Blackburn) Duty. He worked for Libby Glass for 38 years as a machinist retiring in 1995. Ken, in his spare time enjoyed gardening, woodworking, bowling and playing softball. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and University of Kentucky Wildcat Basketball.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth, sons, Roy, Randy, Ken (Kay) and Pete Duty; grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Kenneth L., Vickie, Kevin, George, Zachary and Amanda; great grandchildren , Isaac and Lane; sister, Diana (Ed) Earl; brother, Danny P. (Linda) Duty; Ken was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Lori Ann; siblings, Thomas, Imalean, Herbert, Jimmy, Roger and Larry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon and where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
