Kenneth W. Erwin, 78, of Oregon, OH passed away October 22, 2006 in Orchard Villa. He was born on September 14, 1928 in Jenkins, KY to Jack and Leona (Shoop) Erwin. Ken was a veteran of the US Navy, and had been employed by the C.H. Heist Corp. for 25 years before his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Northern Light Masonic Lodge #40. Ken loved trains and his 1990 Lincoln.
Surviving are his sons, Kenneth Jr. (Marilyn) and Ronald Erwin; daughters, Sue (Tim) Benge, Beverly (Dennis) Smith, Phyllis (Robert) Mason and Tina (Terry) Ryan; sister, Gay Wolfe; step-brother, Dennis Staup; former wife, Helen; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and companion, Evelyn Spain.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. with Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Ken's memory are asked to consider Hospice of NW Ohio or the Little Sisters of the Poor.
