Kenneth R. Henderson, 65, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Mercy St. Vincent Heart and Vascular Center after a battle with a long illness. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 23, 1944 to Robert C. and Marjorie Eva (Whipple). After graduating from Clay High School, Ken worked for Seaway Food Town for 6 years. He retired from AT&T, formerly Ohio Bell and Ameritech, in 1994 after 27 years as an installer-repairman. Ken was a supporter of the Toledo Zoo as well as Boy's Town. His hobbies included trivia, coin collecting, fishing and nature. Ken was a big fan of the Ohio State football team and the Cleveland Browns. Surviving are his daughter, Laurie Henderson; brother, Jim Henderson; sister, Janet Maggard; nieces and nephews, Marcia, Jeremy, Jimmy and Danny. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marcia Henderson. Friends and family may visit at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 12 Noon to 9:00 p.m. with funeral services to be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
