Kenneth E. Horner, 78, of Northwood, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Findlay, OH on May 23, 1929 to Adolf Sr. and Carrie (Geiger) Horner. Ken was employed as a glasscutter with LOF for 25 years retiring in 1968. He was a member of Rosary Cathedral Church where he was active in the Holy Name Society, usher captain and gave tours. Ken was an Air Force staff sergeant and flight engineer during the Korean War and a lifetime member of the VFW in Findlay, OH. In his spare time, he enjoyed flying airplanes, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his grandkids and pet dogs.
Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Elaine M.; daughters, Denise (James) Horvath, Kathy Joi (Kris Katz) Horner and Stephanie (Robert) Fishbach; son-in-law, George Nuhfer; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twins, and daughter, Amy Nuhfer. Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather
Visitation will be held in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio on Monday, November 19, 2007 from 2-5 & 6-9 p.m. with recitation of Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to Rosary Cathedral Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Those wishing to give an expression of sympathy should consider the Horner family.
