Obituary

Kenneth G. Villhauer, 93, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the Gardens of St. Frances. Ken was born in Oregon, Ohio April 20, 1929 to Charles and Alma (Enderlin) Villhauer. In 1947, Ken graduated from Clay High School and began a 40 year career with Standard Oil & BP Refinery, retiring as a supervisor in 1987. On July 12, 1947, he married Joyce Myers at St. Mark Lutheran Church and enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Ken was an avid golfer and hit three holes in one over the years. He enjoyed fishing and was a dedicated fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ken & Joyce wintered in Treasure Island, Florida and enjoyed vacations to Hawaii and Alaska. He shared many dances with Joyce at the Elks Club and volunteered with her for Mobile Meals of Toledo. Additional memberships included: First St. John Lutheran Church, Toledo United Swiss, and German American Festival Society. Ken is survived by his children, Jim (Loretta) Villhauer, Sue (Dave) Kimmet, and Shelley (Tom) Garrett; grandchildren, Jodi (Todd) Bostater, Jessica (Jamie) Bostater, Melissa (Jerry) Spatny, Dan Miller, Matthew (Jennifer) Garrett, and Lynn (Joe) Brosious; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; brother, Robert Villhauer; and sister, Grace Von Ewegen. Private funeral services were held for immediate family with interment in St. John Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in the form of contributions to First St. John Lutheran Church, Toledo. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
