Kennieth R. Mysinger Sr., 77 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Ken was born in Soddy Daisy, TN on June 8, 1935 to Porter Richard and Vieva (Millard) Mysinger. Kennieth, known to many as Ray or Sarge, served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War and later with the Ohio Army National Guard. Ray retired from GM Chevrolet Plant after 31 years of employment where he was a machinist. Ray was a member of the Northwood Church of God. He loved his sports, playing softball, golf, bowling, fishing, hunting and just being outdoors. Ray'™s real love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his loving wife, Doris, they would celebrate 55 years of marriage on Aug. 6; children, Kennieth (Elizabeth) Jr., James, Theodore (Elizabeth), Samuel (Melissa), Joy, David (Ann) Mysinger; grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Erica, Trisha, Cassie, Samantha, Joshua (Fallon), Matthew, Emily, Felicia (Muneeb), Faizuly, Jashira, Nicole, Tasha, Wesley; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Ulysses (Mary), Bonnie 'œDink' (Dean), Eva Mae (John) Jeffries; sister-in-law, Thelma Mysinger. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Arthur 'œPa' James; great grandson, Marcus Allen; brother, Waitice.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Northwood Church of God, 1838 S. Coy Rd. Northwood at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends one hour prior. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
