Kerry A. Hoot, 55, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away after a courageous battle with dementia on Sunday, February 25, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 23, 1962 to Thomas and Charlene (Jambo) Hoot Sr. Kerry graduated from Lake High School and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army. After his service he went on to work as a Forklift operator for Exel. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting and detailing cars. Kerry was also an animal lover, but what he will be remembered for most was his love for his country and his kind and tender heart.
Kerry is survived by his mother, Charlene Hoot; brothers, Thomas (Cheryl), Donald (Holly), Kevin (Carolyn) Hoot; uncle, John (Cathy) Jambo; aunt, Marlene Egeland; children, Kerry Hoot II, Elizabeth (Chris) Landrum; 2 grandchildren; and father, Thomas Hoot Sr.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The family will also greet friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner, Northwood, Ohio 43619 from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Kerry's memory are asked to consider Calvary Lutheran Church.
