Kevin Lee Tomlinson, age 66, of Oak Harbor, Ohio passed away suddenly after a short illness on September 19, 2026 at Toledo Hospital surrounded by his beloved family and friends.

On January 23, 1960, Kevin was born in Kewanee, IL, to Glenn Lee Tomlinson and Barbara E. Tomlinson (Johnson).

On November 9, 1988, Kevin married Elizabeth Ann Tomlinson in Toledo, Ohio; together they shared 38 wonderful years.

Kevin is survived by his wife Beth; daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Everhardt, Samantha (Chris) Gould; son, Gary (Valerie) Klavinger Jr.; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Bowhay; father, Glenn Tomlinson; sisters, Terri (AJ) Stuart and Sharon (Andy) Mapes; sisters-in-law, Mary Randolph, Rebecca (Tom) McArthur, and Mary (Don) Widmer; treasured and lifelong family friend Cheryl Kahler; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Johnathon Tomlinson; granddaughter, Kinsley Tomlinson; mother, Barbara E. Tomlinson; mother and father-in-law, John and Joann Satterfield; brother-in-law, John Satterfield; and Kevin's cherished and well-loved four-legged son, Krull.

Kevin was the director of transportation for Shrader Tire & Oil in Toledo, OH. Kevin was involved in the diesel industry since he graduated high school.

Kevin was a member of Bethel Church in Elmore, OH where he sang and played bass guitar in the praise band and was a member of MOB - Men of Bethel. He was a member of the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC), serving as past chairman, and the chair of several committees and focus groups for TMC. He also served as a mentor to new members of TMC. He was a past recipient of the Career Leadership Award from the Commercial Carrier Journal (CCJ). He served on the advisory board of Wyo Tech in Laramie, WY and the Ehove Vocational School. He previously taught diesel technology at Owens Community College. Kevin was a member of the Ohio Transportation Association (OTA).

He was an avid Harley enthusiast, loving to ride with his wife and friends from across the country. Kevin was a Buckeye through and through, rooting for Ohio State every Saturday and hoping Michigan lost. He was a Cowboys fan his entire life, always hopeful they win a Super Bowl. If football was on, he was in his chair with the TV too loud (because his hearing was perfect) watching every game that was on. He loved a good auction, bringing home many treasures to share with his family and friends. Kevin loved bringing family together and creating memories with the people he loved most.

Kevin did not know a stranger and made every person he met feel welcomed and loved. We will miss his larger than life personality and the smile he always wore.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 24th, 2026. Visitation will at 12pm with the service starting at 1pm, with a fellowship and refreshments following.
