Obituary

Khen To, 56, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2007, after a 3 year hard fought battle with colon cancer. Khen was a devoted father and hard worker. He worked at Owens Corning for 15 years before working for Diamond Crystals for 10 years. Khen worked almost every day even while being treated with chemotherapy, except for the last 2 months. As testimony to his work ethic he was recently nominated as "Gem of an Employee" at Diamond Crystals. Khen served in the Vietnam War with the South Vietnam Air Force where he worked as a helicopter mechanic. He enjoyed Tai Chi and has taught various classes in the past. Mr. To and his family came to the United States in 1980 after being sponsored by Calvary Lutheran Church. Khen was an amazing father and will be missed greatly by his loving children. Khen was preceded in death by his mother, Trong Mach; his first wife, La manh To; brothers, Linh To, Duong To, Ky To, and Manh To. He is survived by his father, Tuong To; second wife, Meiyi Yu; daughter, Binh (Tom) Thorne, son, Philip; brothers, Thai (Loan Tran) To, Chay To, Minh (De Dao) To, Quan (Nhi Ly) To; sisters, Anh (Phuc On) To, Huong (Dao Douangdara) To and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, December 27, 2007, from 12 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Visitation: null Services: null
