Larry A. Grant, 72, of Oregon, Ohio was called home Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born in Oregon, Ohio on January 9, 1944 to Clarence and Iva (Robinson) Grant. He served in the Ohio Army National Guard during the Vietnam War era. For 38 years, Larry worked for the City of Toledo Streets, Bridges and Harbors Department, retiring in 2009. Larry was a dedicated fan of the Michigan Wolverines and Cleveland Indians. A true car enthusiast, Larry enjoyed driving his 1997 Corvette. His hobbies included: camping at Cedar Point and East Harbor State Park and visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Dunberger American Legion Post and First St. John Lutheran Church.
Larry is survived by his sons, Larry (Lisa) Grant and Randy (Stephanie) Grant; grandchildren, Kylie, Mason, Regan, Maverick, Emma, and Livah; siblings, Sandra (Jim) Koester, Linda (Tom) Sigurdson, Dennis (Bonnie) Grant, and Christine Kissling; along with many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Grant and sister, Joan (Richard) Bailey.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Elliston Cemetery.
