Larry Dean Melton, 64, of Jerusalem Township, OH passed away December 9, 2021. He was born on August 20,1957 in Middletown, Ohio to Dennis and Bernice (Blevins) Melton. He worked at Sun Chemical, specializing in ink manufacturing, for over 10 years before retiring.
The life of Larry Melton was one that was never short of adventure and numerous memories being made. Whether it was hunting for treasure with his girls, tearing up the shooting range, or enjoying the great outdoors and all God's beautiful creation: Larry was always into something. He was a problem-solver, a builder, a fixer and jack of all trades. He was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeye and the Cincinnati Reds. Larry was very dedicated to helping the people around him in any way he could, and he would definitely give you the shirt off his back at any given moment.
Wonderful son, friend, brother, and father, he dedicated his life to those he loved, and those who needed a helping hand or a joke to get them through their day. Larry is survived by his daughter, Taylor (Brad) Schmitz, 2 granddaughters Avery and Cadence, step-son, Jordan Freeman, and his 4 brothers Willis, Dale, Earnie, and Tim. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane.
A celebration of life will be held at Cedar Creek Church, Oregon Campus on Wednesday December 22, 2021. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road is assisting the family with arrangements.
