Lawrence C. Helle Jr., 83, of Pemberville, Ohio passed away October 5, 2014 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on August 27, 1931 to Lawrence Sr. and Josephine (St. John) Helle. Larry was a self employed farmer for over 79 years supplying Kroger, Sauder, Sav-A-Lot and other grocery stores with fresh produce. He and his wife, Rita would be seen at the Erie market selling their fruits and vegetables. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his wife prior to her death in 2011. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. Surviving are his children, Daniel, Larry, Diane (Tom) Dauer; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchild; brother, Donald (Grace) Helle; special friend, Jack Dunbar. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Rita M., parents, and granddaughter, Jennifer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael'™s Catholic Church, Gibsonburg where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow in West Union Cemetery Gibsonburg. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Lawrence'™s memory are asked to consider St. Michael'™s Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Larry'™s family would like to express their thanks to the Nurse'™s of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and to the Nurse'™s at Bay Park Hospital for the care provided to him during his stay.
