Lawrence J. Miller, 68, of Oregon, Ohio passed away September 6, 2007, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 4, 1939, to Carl and Anita (Waltz) Miller. Lawrence was employed as a designer at Quad Manufacturing, Owens Illinois and General Motors for 39 years, retiring in 2005. He attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and was a member of the G.A.F. Teutonia Mannerchor. Lawrence took a great pleasure in the arts and carving. He also taught sculpture classes at the Toledo Museum of Art and art classes at Birmingham School.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (Haas); daughter, Rebecca (Darryl) Mays; son, Daniel Miller; sister, Elaine (John) McClay; brother, David (Carol) Miller; granddaughter, Isabelle Jayne Mays and many nephews. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and nephew. F
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Members of the G.A.F. Teutonia Mannerchor will be singing at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, September 10, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. with interment following in North Oregon Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Lawrence's memory are asked to consider the GAF Teutonia Mannerchor.
