Lawson G. Reeder Jr., 74, of Toledo, OH, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born in Flat Lick, KY on January 31, 1931, to Lawson and Jewell (Messer) Reeder Sr. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Reeder was employed as a conductor at the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 38 years before his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his loving wife, Georgeanna; sons, Lawson Reeder III and George Reeder; daughter, Deborah (Wayne) Wells; sister, Sherry (George) Evans; grandchildren, Melissa (Craig) Henninger, Melinda Smith, George Reeder Jr., Stacey Reeder, Stanley Reeder, Lawson Reeder IV and Travis Reeder; great-grandchildren, Craig Henninger, Miranda Henninger, Zachary Clark, Gavin Smith.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. The family suggests memorial contributions in Lawson's name be made to the American Heart Society.
