Obituary

Leah R. Keaton, 90, of Oregon, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center. Leah was born in Toledo on March 25, 1921 to George and Ida (Hartwick) Quigg. She was the widow of Glenn 'œHoward' Keaton who preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Keaton was a past member of New Hope Community Church and Heritage Christian Church. Leah volunteered for many years at the Lutheran Day Center. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, linedancing and faithfully attended Bible Study. Surviving are her daughters, Judith (Gaylord) Staggers, Janice (Donald) Duris; son, Dennis (Carol) Keaton; sister, Margie Judy; grandchildren, Glen Keaton, Christopher, Steven (Somlak), and Lauren Duris, Nicki DeHaas, Rebecca Paulos, Sarah Jockett, Craig (Terrie) Witty and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy Ankele; brother, Robert Quigg and great grandson, Kyle Neuenschwander. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery.
