Lenora "Tootie" Steffen, 79, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 surrounded by her family with Elvis singing in the background. Tootie was born in Bulger, Pennsylvania on October 21, 1937 to Raleigh and Ella (Turner) Allison. She graduated High School and soon after married the love of her life, William Steffen who preceded her in death after 56 years of marriage. Together they would have 3 children. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Rossford chapter. Tootie was an avid bowler, enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards. Grandma Tootie was also know for making the "Worlds Best Ham," but what was most important to her was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Tootie is survived by her children, Samuel (Kathy) Steffen, Thomas "TR" (Conni) Steffen, Monica (Robert) Fountain; grandchildren, Thomas Burtscher, Steven and Ashley Luce, Anthony (Melinda), William, Alex, Marshall, Samuel, Elizabeth and Faith Steffen; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Lilly, Scout, Milee, Layla, Isabella, Baya, Charlee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William and 5 siblings
Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 am.
