Leonard Jabs, 80, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 in Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was born in Toledo on February 4, 1931 to Emil and Emilie (Schachtschneider) Jabs. He was employed as a glass worker for Libbey Owens Ford for 34 years before his retirement in 1987. Mr. Jabs was a US Army veteran and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he served as head trustee and operator of the church'™s sound system.
Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Dolores and many nieces, nephews, great and great great grand nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herb and Henry (Ruth) Jabs
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 106 W. Plumer Street. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Leonard'™s memory can be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
