LeRoy L. Everhardt, 85, of Walbridge, OH, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2005, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Mr. Everhardt was born on February 10, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio to Fred and Clara (DeCant) Everhardt. Mr. Everhardt served as a gunner's mate in the US Navy during World War II. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and received a Presidential Citation for his service to his country. LeRoy was employed at Woodville Auto Parts for 31 years before his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Northwood Baptist Church, Oak Harbor Masonic Lodge and was a life member and past vice commander of the Northwood Veterans of Foreign Wars # 2984.
Surviving are his sons, Marvin (Virginia) and Danny Lee (Chris) Everhardt; daughter, Esther Mae Wheat; sister, Elsie Rose Algier; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth; son, Roy Allan Everhardt; daughter, Marian Everhardt and great-granddaughter, Amy Whitehead.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH, on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. Masonic services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Lake Township Cemetery.
